I was born in the Bay Area, but grew up in Marina, California, which is about 15 minutes north of Monterey. After graduating from Seaside High, I graduated with my Bachelor's of Arts in Journalism from Sacramento State University.
My love for photography started years later and it served as an outlet for me to use the creativity that was missing since my childhood. The first camera that a friend let me borrow was a Sony NEX-5N, which was a handful of years ago, and I quickly fell in love with long exposure photography. That led me to buy my own kit and with the help of friends and lots of practice, my skills progressed enough to become a Sony Alpha Imaging Ambassador in late 2016, which is a true honor.
My wife, Kelley and I spend our weekends with our two sons and take them on adventures exploring hiking trails in the Bay Area where we reside.
